Who this notice covers

This notice covers information collected through the Rebegun website and related enquiries. Rebegun is the trading name used for the services on this website, based in Brentwood, Essex. For privacy requests, complaints or questions, email hello@rebegun.com.

If a later project involves additional processing, including access to your customer records or business systems, the relevant responsibilities, instructions and safeguards must be agreed separately before that access is provided.

What we collect

• Enquiries: your name, email address, optional business name, selected service, budget range, timeline and message.
• Enquiry administration: the submission time, reference, duplicate-prevention fingerprint and email-delivery status and identifiers.
• Security information: a pseudonymous network identifier derived from the submitting IP address, used to limit repeated submissions. It is not treated as anonymous information.
• Website delivery: hosting and infrastructure providers receive technical request information, which can include IP address, browser information, requested pages and diagnostic or security logs.
• Browser choices: the storage preference you choose and, if allowed, session flags for the intro and project invitation. See cookies and settings.

We receive enquiry information directly from you. Please avoid including passwords, card details, health information or other sensitive personal information. If you provide someone else’s details, make sure you have a lawful reason to do so and tell them about this notice.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

• Responding to a personal project enquiry or preparing a requested quote: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, where you would be the contracting individual.
• Handling enquiries on behalf of a business and related correspondence: our legitimate interests in responding to requests, understanding requirements and managing business relationships.
• Preventing abuse, duplicates and delivery failures: our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and reliable, with proportionate technical controls.
• Complying with a legal obligation or handling a legal claim: the relevant legal obligation or our legitimate interests in establishing, exercising or defending legal rights.
• Optional browser preferences: your permission, which you can change in cookie settings.

The fields marked as required are needed to understand and reply to an enquiry. If you prefer, you can email us instead. Making an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use this form to obtain marketing consent.

Who receives the information

Enquiries are accessible to the people handling your request and the service providers needed to operate the website and email delivery. The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure, including a hosted enquiry database. Resend delivers enquiry notifications to our business mailbox. Email correspondence is also handled by our business email provider.

Providers process the information needed for their services. We do not add advertising pixels or behavioural analytics to this website, and we do not sell enquiry information. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to professional advisers when necessary, or to protect legal rights.

The AI examples on this website are demonstrations. The enquiry form does not send your message to an AI model and does not make an automated decision about you.

International processing

Some service providers process personal information outside the UK. Resend, which delivers our enquiry notifications, states that its primary processing takes place in the United States. Its published data-processing terms describe participation in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and incorporate Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum for relevant transfers not covered by an adequacy arrangement.

Our hosting and business email services may also involve processing outside the UK. You can contact hello@rebegun.com for information about transfers relevant to your enquiry and copies of applicable safeguards.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose of the record. Enquiry information is needed while considering and responding to your request and during any resulting discussions. It must be reviewed when those discussions end and deleted when no longer needed. A record needed for an agreed project, an unresolved complaint, accounting or a legal claim may need to be kept longer for that specific purpose.

The website database and email correspondence are separate copies. Deleting one does not automatically delete the other. You can ask us to review and delete information we no longer need. This website does not currently promise automatic deletion on a fixed date.

Optional session settings last for the browser-tab session, subject to your browser’s restore behaviour. Your cookie choice is remembered for up to 180 days. Infrastructure logs and backups have separate provider-controlled retention arrangements; contact us if you need more detail.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. You can object where processing relies on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Email hello@rebegun.com with your request. We may need enough information to verify your identity and find the relevant record. We normally respond within one month, subject to the lawful rules on extensions and clarification. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions.

You can raise a privacy complaint with us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator. You do not have to waive that right to contact us first.

Updates

We will update this notice when the website’s processing changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes affecting information already collected will be brought to the attention of affected people where required.
